Hailing from the port city of Saint Nazaire, Hayden Besswood is the solo project of French young artist Quentin Le Gorrec. Before coming out under his new moniker Hayden Besswood, Quentin began playing his first shows and recording his first songs in the small local folk scene (two EPs were released on B&FF records) only with his guitar and voice.

He recently moved to the nearby thriving city of Nantes, a place where he made new musical connections, and discovered his new passion for studio experiments and vintage gear that he fixes and repairs himself. From a mostly folk repertoire, his music then bloomed by bringing new elements, more sophisticated and lush ornaments, a clear pop songwriting intent, and dazzling psychedelic textures, thanks to synths and effects and tape recording.

Behind the aged doors and bric-a-brac of his low-light family home attic, Quentin writes, arranges, and records all his music himself, giving life to his intimate lyrics. Despite his DIY and vintage affinity, his first album Colors & Vows to be released on April 28th is timeless and well into the present.
